Nicole Howell attended the University of British Columbia where she obtained a degree in philosophy. She received her law degree from the University of Victoria. Nicole served as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of British Columbia, 1998-1999.
Nicole represents both employees and employers and advises on such matters as wrongful dismissal, employment standards, human rights, and disability claims.
Her practice covers all matters relating to the termination of employment or arising thereafter, for example: severance packages, allegations of cause, breach of fiduciary and related duties, and non-competition agreements.
Nicole has successfully argued employment cases at the provincial and supreme court level, as well as employment standard appeals.

Representing both sides in employment matters enables Nicole to advocate strongly for her client while at the same time maintaining an unbiased and realistic assessment of the case with a view to negotiating the best resolution as efficiently as possible.
When not practicing law, Nicole spends most of her spare time on the North Shore mountains or
Whistler mountain with either her snowboard or one of her mountain bikes. She competed in the
Test of Metal endurance race in Squamish in 2005 and 2006.
